Many teenagers use Invisalign clear, custom aligners to straighten their smile. However, with standard Invisalign aligners, many teens ran into some problems specifically related to just being a teen!
With Invisalign for teens, there a number of features that make orthodontic treatment easier for today’s busy teens.
Compliance Indicators
On average, teenage Invisalign patients are less compliant with their treatment compared to adult patients. This means that they are more likely to remove their aligners more frequently, and for longer periods of time than prescribed by their orthodontists.
To address this, Invisalign for teens features compliance indicators, small blue dots that fade away after two weeks of wear. This features helps teen keep track of how long they are supposed to wear a given set of aligners for, making it easier for them to stay on track with their treatment plan.
Stageable Eruption Tabs
Invisalign for teens can be worn by younger teenagers whose adult teeth are not quite done erupting. The eruption tab features allows space for the teeth to finish growing in during treatment.
Replacement Aligners
Invisalign for teens comes with six sets of replacement aligners. This is because teenagers are also more likely to lose or damage their aligners than adults. So that if a set of aligners is damaged, they can continue treatment without missing a beat!
